Beschreibung: Cafés have always social focus points in cities andurban neighbourhoods – places of social interaction,information exchange and creative knowledge production.Can we transfer this quality into the context ofcontemporary urban development, namely the fast growthof digital “smart” cities? In the block seminar /workshop we will explore how digital data may become anew ingredient of forming social urban spaces. By way ofan experimental design project, we will investigate howthe production, provision and exchange of (urban) datamay create new qualities in architectural and urbanenvironments – how the experience and interaction withdigital information may trigger social life anddevelopment in the contemporary city.
