Beschreibung:
• Basic economic terms and concepts for characterising technical urban infrastructure systems: cost structure, scale and scope economies, market forms, horizontal and vertical integration, natural monopoly, deregulation and reregulation, liberalisation and privatisation, unbundling, network externalities, path dependency, etc.
• Instances of regulatory regimes for technical urban infrastructure systems (laws and provisions by regulatory agencies that shape the market for investment in and operation of technical facilities)
• Examples of and experiences with different regulatory regimes for technical urban infrastructure systems from Germany, EU, and worldwide
• Legal and economic framework for the planning and the approval of infrastructure projects
• Case Studies of the planning, funding, realisation and management of technical urban infrastructure projects (e.g., small scale district heating grid)
