Beschreibung:
Das M2-Studienprojekt ist das letzte Studienprojekt des Masterstudiengangs und hat zum Ziel, die im Bachelor- und Masterstudium erlernten Lehrinhalte anhand eines eingegrenzten Themas anzuwenden, zu vertiefen und zu erproben. Die M2-Projektgruppen von drei bis fünf Studierenden organisieren sich selbst und erarbeiten eigenständig, in Rücksprache mit ihren Betreuern, eine Themenstellung.

Lehrinhalte:
Info M2 "Sustainable Solutions for Athens": The government of Greece adopted a National Waste Management Plan (NWMP) in December 2015, along with 13 Regional Waste Management Plans (RWMP), including actions and measures to be taken in order to achieve environmental, social and economic benefits. The German Development Cooperation (GIZ) will provide technical support in this regard.

We propose HCU students to define a M2 project for finding solutions for the improvement of the waste management systems of local communities in Attika, the metropolitan area of Athens. The situation in these cities might be characterized by a rather traditional management instead of state of the art methods, technology and institutional solutions. HCU students shall analyze the current practice and propose practicable ideas for a sustainable transformation. The project group shall make further definitions concerning objectives and focus of the project.

It is highly recommended to complement this M2 project with the “Elective: Sustainable Solutions for Athens”, a study tour to Athens.
