Beschreibung: The students develop a comprehensive understanding of geological processes and formation of seabed features and bedforms. Seafloor sediment types and corresponding sampling methods are addressed. Intended learning outcomes • Describe the structure of the earth and the processes affecting the bathymetry of the oceans. • Analyse the formation of seafloor features and differentiate between different types. • Explain various seabed sampling methods. • Distinguish between different seafloor sediment types and explain sedimentary processes.
